Breakfast at the Hungry Hippo

My friend and I passed by at Makati the other day and thought that we should explore while we were there since it’s not every day that we pass by that place. For further info, we specifically went to Ayala Avenue Salcedo Village, Makati—a place known as the business center of Makati and of Metro Manila (besides The Fort). The structures here are futuristic and as my prof once said it is considered as“pluckitecture” but I will delve on the architectural details on another post since this post is dedicated to our breakfast. :D

Not being too familiar with the place, we decided to enter the modernistic RCBC plaza. We thought, what could straightforward businessmen eat here amongst the futuristic interior? So we walked for awhile and saw some food establishments that we are bound to take a look at next time. We settled to eat breakfast/brunch (we walked quite awhile) at Hungry Hippo. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to take photos even if I didn’t bring my camera so I opt for the phone camera.

Next time I go to a restaurant, note to self—bring a
camera! You are one of those food-amateur-instagram-photographers now! Just kidding, I don't use instagram. :) Well here was our food from the Hungry Hippo. I ordered their brunch meal which was breaded chicken with scrambled eggs and some rice. My friend ordered fries and a tomato, lettuce and ham sandwich.

The place overall was quaint, nothing too fancy; basic and simple. The food didn’t stand out much either but decent enough for our brunch on the rush with fairly reasonable prices. For anyone interested, I think Hungry Hippo have other branches elsewhere such as the one in Batangas, Muntinlupa, Cavite, etc. besides the one in RCBC, Makati.

I would take the fries and eggs but not the sandwich and bacon. (lol) Nice blog! Thanks for the blog visit and leaving a comment. :)
