I'm on roll here with romantic comedies but I am interested to watch other genres as well (except horror since i'm a coward...) I might watch Prestige soon since I heard it's pretty good. If anyone knows any good movies that are a must-watch--please suggest! I don't want to miss out on anything. :)

I'll get the obvious ones out of the way first. (films that any living being pretty much MUST see before they breath their last breath, each one of these is potentially life changing. In fact, in their own way, each one of these ways has literally changed my life. If you are a modern film lover... these are a MUST.) Fight Club, The Green Mile, V for Vendetta, American History X (depending upon your threshold, could be glorious or disastrous depending on that.). As for romance... let's just say I LOVE to cry: Atonement, Never Let Me Go, The Reader. As a few of my favorite movies ever, just to list them off: The Newsies- One of the most underrated movies ever, plus who can beat a young singing Christian Bale!? One of my childhood musical favorites. Big Fish-A romantic, fantastical fairy tale. Garden State- Intense love story written, directed, and starring my man Zach Braff. Great mix of drama and humor. The Decedents- Great. Film. Period. Deserves every Oscar it was nominated for. The Aviator-My second favorite movie of all time, biopic of my personal hero Howard Hughes who suffered from OCD (like myself.)
Finally, I will leave you with the recommendation of anything my favorite writer/director, Wes Anderson has done. Believe me, his work is defiantly not for everyone. To put a word to it, it's... odd. But that's why I love it, it's unique, odd, different, who doesn't want that!? Just watch one of his trailers and you'll get what I mean. My two favorites of his are The Royal Tenenbaums and his most recent Moonrise Kingdom, but The Life Aquatic and anything else he's done is also great. This is THE MASTER of blending serious tone with hilarious, sidesplitting humor.
Let me know what you think, if you have any recommendations for me, or if you've already seen any of these. Thank you!
WOW, thank you for the recommendations! Now i seriously don't want to miss out on anything so i'm putting those in my "to watch list". :D
i've heard of the Fight Club and V for Vendetta, now looking forward to watching them and the others as well. :)
